Serving the total enlisted force: Active Duty, Veterans, Retired, Reserves and National Guard

The purpose of TREA: The Enlisted Association, a nonprofit military veterans’ organization, is to primarily represent the rights and interests of enlisted veterans before the Congress of the United States when matters affecting them are under consideration. Secondly, assist its members, both professionally and culturally; to promote health, prosperity and fellowship along with their dependents and survivors through benevolent programs. Finally, to foster fraternal and social activities in recognition that cooperative action is required for the continuance of their common interests. We firmly resolve to uphold the Constitution of the United States, improve the relationship between the military and civilian populace and to maintain liaison with active and reserve component personnel of the armed forces.
TREA's response to the $12 million estimated military parade.

“We support recognition of the contributions to our Armed Forces for defending the nation but the cost of such celebrations should not be funded from the budget allocated for Veteran care or troop readiness.

It began with an advertisement in the Colorado Springs Gazette-Telegraph, February 12, 1963, to gather retired enlisted men for a discussion.
